Holidays in Israel in the winter

The time when it is better to go on vacation to Israel definitely falls in autumn and early spring. Moreover, both of these periods are ideal for any type of holiday in the country. Spring with its still relatively mild temperatures and colorful blooms is the time when it is better to go to Israel for excursions. Jerusalem with its temples and Gethsemane gardens, Bahai gardens, the Nabeul desert – all this is better to see in the spring. But the summer heat is a period when it is not worth going to Israel, even for the sake of a beach holiday. It is so hot here that even the seas are not refreshing. But the off-season is just the time when it’s worth flying to Israel, among other things, for swimming in the Red and Mediterranean Seas. Gedi Spring Oasis

In the immediate vicinity of the Judean Desert, between the shores of the Dead Sea and the slopes of the mountains, there is a strip of land only a few hundred meters wide. The Gedi Nature Reserve was founded in Israel in 1972 in order to preserve the unique landscape and wildlife of the eponymous oasis. Its area is about 14.5 km2. Continue reading

The sea is calling

Israel is certainly lucky with the Dead Sea: the name itself attracts many people who need treatment or prevention of health. The fact that the level of medical care in Israel is not inferior to the leading European clinics, but at the same time it is more affordable, is encouraging potential patients.

The words “medical resort on the Dead Sea” usually means the hotel town of Ein Bokek, which is located on the southern tip of the west coast. You can go from end to end in an hour. The whole resort consists of a couple of dozen 3-5 * hotels, several clinics, shops, a small shopping center, several cafes and a couple of restaurants. The atmosphere here is specific: silence, calm and, at first glance, boredom. But people go to Ein Bokek precisely for this: take a break from the bustle and undergo a course of treatment. Therefore, there are no discos and noisy promenades in the town and are not expected. Continue reading
