Israel is an alien and so dear!

For most of the year, people living in Russia dream or plan their trip to the sea. And where is it all year round, at least warm, and often just hot, and even a few seas to choose from? That’s right, in Israel! In my opinion, the ideal time to visit this country is October. Most often, we have already gone Indian summer, and it begins to rain, or even freeze, and there is comfortable warm weather and ideal water for swimming!

So you have a week. What to include in the route, and how to catch time on the sea and touch the incredible historical heritage? I’ll tell you about my recent trip, where I just managed to combine all of the above.

We arrived at Ovda International Airport (or “Uvda”), which is 60 kilometers from the popular resort of Eilat. Looking ahead, I will say that Eilat also has an airport, but it is very small and accepts domestic flights. It is interesting that the airport received its name in honor of the military operation of the same name, which put an end to the war for the independence of Israel and brought freedom to the south of the country. In general, military subjects are everywhere here, but you get used to it very quickly and feel under constant protection.

Be prepared for the fact that at the border you will be asked many, indeed, many questions. Moreover, if you are traveling as a family or couple, then there will be fewer questions, and if you appear at the border control in splendid isolation or without a return ticket, then there will be more questions and it is possible that you will be asked to stay for an additional conversation. Yes, it’s not very cool, but as soon as you go through everything, get luggage and leave the airport, happiness comes. First of all, we headed to the Dead Sea. In general, the Dead Sea covers an area of 600 sq. Km.

The feeling of water is strange at first: it turns and twists you as it wants, and if you find yourself on your stomach, you feel completely helpless. Plus it’s very scary that water will get into your eyes. If the body has at least minimal wounds – pinching will be scary! But when you get used to it, you can relax!

After water, the skin is so smooth and delicate that words can not convey! Moreover, for this it is enough to immerse yourself in water for only 20 minutes !!! But to preserve the magical effect at home, you can buy cosmetics with minerals from the Dead Sea, for example, the Sea of Spa brand

By the way, cosmetics with Dead Sea minerals are sold everywhere in Israel, but, in my opinion, prices are still better at the resort itself. And the funds indicated above the brand, in general, are very affordable. But, of course, you can just pick up salt from the coast.

Interesting fact: on the Dead Sea it is impossible to sunbathe! I have very white skin and usually I either immediately burn, or blush, and then whiten again. Here, a completely unique climate, which is due to a number of factors, central of which is that the Dead Sea is the lowest place on Earth (430 meters below sea level). Due to the large ozone layer there is weakened ultraviolet radiation, plus low humidity and low rainfall (50 mm).

Thanks to these ingredients, an environment is created in which it is very comfortable to sunbathe.

Firstly, I highly recommend a jeep safari in the Negev desert. This is not only an opportunity to get acquainted with the flora (yes, there is vegetation) and desert fauna, but also a chance to ride with the breeze between the salt and chalk mountains.

The second attraction that I recommend to vacationers on the Dead Sea is a visit to the botanical garden in Kibbutz Ein Gedi.

Nazareth. Church Synagogue
Note: Visiting this Christian shrine is not included in all excursion routes. But it always follows after a visit to the Church of the Annunciation. Therefore, I consider it appropriate…
